T[R POT] (VIIII/XIIII) C[OS II], S C reverse type depicting Mars, naked, except for cloak behind him, advancing right, holding transverse spear in right hand and trophy over left shoulder in left. Mint of Rome. Cf. RIC III, nos. 1322 (AD 154-155) or 1354 (AD 159-160).
This is possibly a 'Coin of British Association' as listed by D. Walker in his report on the Sacred Springs at Bath (Walker, 1988: pp. 295, 299, nos. 3…
