Roman copper alloy sestertius, probably of Vespasian (AD 69-79), Reece period 4, possibly SALVS AVGVSTA S C reverse type depicting Salus seated left holding patera out in right hand and sceptre in left, but the coin is incomplete and broken in two places. The back of the portrait head is just visible, as are the letters [IM]P CAE[S...] in the obverse inscription which combined with the curvature of the thick neck and the shape of the head suggest Vespasian. The coin is quite large as even with areas of the circumference missing it measures 27 mm in diameter.
