The prototype could not be accurately ascertained, though the crude non-sensical legends that in places are retrograte would infer that this is an imitation rather than an official issue. An Iron Age gold uniface quarter stater of the Southern Region / Regini, c.60-20 BC, 'Willett's Nipple' type. Obverse: Plain with nipple. Reverse: Indistinct pattern of lines and geometric motifs. As ABC, p. 50, no. 536; BMC (Hobbs) nos. 428-432 . The coin measures 11.5mm diameter, 1.3mm thick and it weighs 1.29gms.
