A Roman plated silver copy of a siliqua of Valens (AD 364-378), dating to the period c.AD 364-378 (Reece period 19). VOT/X/MVLT/XX reverse type depicting the legend within a wreath. Prototype of the mint of Lyon. Copying Hoxne no. 302; RIC IX, p. 46, no. 19. It measures 17.3mm in diameter, has thickness of 1.1mm, and weighs 1.3g. Die axis 6 o'clock.

Clipped silver siliqua, probably of Gratian (367-83), VRBS ROMA, probably Trier or Aquileia, AD 375-8. RIC IX, c.f. Trier 46b/64a and Aquileia 15b. It is possible that this is a barbarous imitation. The original record states it is base metal, but this might not be the case as the coin is clipped.
