A Medieval - Post Medieval crudely cast, lead alloy large sized, uniface token of Powell type 3 The token is roughly circular in plan, sub-rectangular in cross section with a raised design of a 8 spokes extending from the centre of the token. There are two concentric raised borders also, one at the edge of the token and another about half way along its diameter. A counterfeit lead alloy shilling of George III (AD 1760-1820). The artefact is missing chips to the left of the bust and a substantial part of its right side. NARC-60DCF1 suggests that most counterfeit coins attributed to George III’s reign are dated 1760. It is also possible this was intended as a gaming piece similar to DUR-87EBCD on the database. The object would be heavier than a shilling and appears quite coarse however it lacks the plain reverse to similar to gaming pieces, hence the suggestion of counterfiet coin.

An Iron Age 'silver' stater, a cross between the Abingdon Zoo / Chievely chicken type, ABC 1001 and 1010. There is some uncertainess about this coin because of its weight, at 7.17g it is very heavy compared with coins of the same date which are usually c. 1.0g, plus the execution is very crude, almost appearing to have solder droplets in places. This coin maybe a lead alloy, and as it is very heavy, and "marks paper!" (coin dealer, pers. comm), it could well be a modern forgery.
