The coins
The coins, both gold solidi, were issued by the Roman emperor Honorius (AD 393-423). One was made at the mint in his then capital Ravenna between AD 402-6, while the other was made at nearby Milan in the period AD 395-402. A bent late 4th- or early 5th-century gold Roman solidus of Honorius (393-423 AD), 'VICTORIA AVGGG', struck at Milan, 395-402 AD (R.I.C. 1206a) found in relation with find ID HAMP-F6F384.
The coins
The coins, both gold solidi, were issued by the Roman emperor Honorius (AD 393-423). One was made at the mint in his then capital Ravenna between AD 402-6, while the other was made at nearby Milan in the period AD 395-402. A gold tremissis, struck by the Visigoths in Gaul, imitating a Roman Imperial coin of Zeno (474-91). It was probably struck, c. 475-490. No exactly similar coin of this type is known to the British Museum, but further research is needed.
Most copies of this period have the mintmark as CONOB or CONO. In this case it is dot N dot. This derives from the ONO of CONOB. There is one coin in the British Museum of Julius Nepos (474-5) with mintmark dot dot M dot dot which derives from COMOB (Oxborough Hoard 2003, R. Abdy).

Gold aureus of Vespasian (AD 69-79), struck in Antioch, AD 72-3. The reverse, IVSTITIA AVG is unpublished. RIC II, 2nd ed, p. 176, issue as of no. 1543.
An aureus of this type is mentioned in BMC II, p. 75, no. *. This coin is published in the Revue Belge de Numismatique 1882, p. 403. However, this coin was from a large collection housed in Lyon which was largely melted down during the French Revolution, c. 1793. This recent discovery appears to confirm the veracity of the original example.

Early Medieval coin pendant, formed from a gold solidus in the name of Anastasius (AD 491-518).
Discussion: The original coin is a gold solidus of the VICTORIA AVGGG type, in the name of Anastasius. It is very similar to Visigothic imitations in the British Museum Collection (de Salis H66 & H67), therefore making it a contemporary imitation produced in western Europe.
