A post medieval copper alloy farthing of William and Mary (1688-1694)) dated to 1694 on coin. Minted at London. As Spink no. 3453. Brian Read has commented that: "This coin is formed of two filed down coins soldered together in order to cheat." This process is clearly visible in that the two original coins have decayed to different colours. Both sides now show the obverse face in order to cheat at games of chance. Measurements: 21.9mm diameter, 2.2mm thickness, weight 4.72g
