An incomplete and very worn silver Roman denarius, possibly of Hadrian (AD 117-138), dating to the period AD 117-138 (Reece period 6). Reverse type possibly with legend reading [...](R P-COS)[...] perhaps depicting Aequitas standing left holding scales and cornucopiae although this is unclear due to the preservation of the coin. Probably mint of Rome. Diameter: 16.8 mm Thickness: 2.4 mm Weight: 1.8 g Coin is incomplete and has a broadly rectangular break on the right on the obverse.

A heavily debased silver denarius of Septimius Severus (AD 193-211). The coin clearly has a very low silver content, and may be a core for a plated copy. The coin type was struck in AD 197, and is RIC number 97, the reverse depicting Hercules standing right, resting on club and holding bow and lion skin on left arm. When legible the reverse inscription would read HERCVLI DEFENS and the obverse inscription would read L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP VIIII. The coin measures 15.39 mm in diameter and weighs 1.9 grams.
