A post-medieval base silver halfgroat of James I (1603-25), second coinage, tower initial mark, dating to 1612-3, struck at the Tower of London. The coin appears to be a very base silver or silvered copper alloy, the latter suggesting it may have been a contemporary copy. Reference: North 2105/1

A probable contemporary copy of a sixpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Tower mint, dated 1573 (North: 1997), apparently base silver or silvered copper alloy. The coin is very worn and scratched particularly on the obverse, and bent at the edge.

A very worn, corroded and incomplete 16th-century base silver groat of Edward VI, portrait of Henry VIII, posthumous coinage, London mint (1547-1551 AD; probably North 1871). This coin has suffered much circumferential loss up to the inner circle and is highly worn and bent.
