An incomplete Post-Medieval Continental coin of either copper alloy or base silver. It is probably a low denomination coin such as a quarter stuber from East Freisia (Oostfreesland). Only part of the legend is legible, and the designs are illegible. It is 16.9mm diameter, 0.9mm thick and 0.6g, but about a third of the coin is missing. Compare NLM-949DC4 which also has EDZ (for Prince Edzard of Ostfriedland) in the legend.
Edzard I - The Great (AD 1491-1528) is probably too early for the style of this coin, so Edzard II (AD 1561-1599), Count of East Freisia is more likely. For a sil…
