A fragment of a silver medieval coin of an uncertain ruler, possibly Stephen, uncertain type, uncertain mint, moneyer: PILL[  ]. The coin may date c.AD1100-1150. The coin is fragmented with one straight, cut edge and one irregular edge suggesting the coin may be a cut halfpenny. The poor striking of the coin might suggest Henry I or Stephen. Weight 0.37g, straight edges = 8.35mm x 9.43mm.
