The piercing being at 10 o'clock on the obverse and at 9 o'clock on the reverse, it respects neither of the faces' designs, albeit it avoids the monarch's head on the obverse.

This coin has a double perforation just within the inner circle through the reverse face. This was presumably to convert the coin into an item of jewellery, although the reverse shield would have been upside down when worn. The coin has also suffered some circumferential losses.
