A folded post-medieval groat of Mary (1553-54), [pomegranate privy mark], struck at the Tower, London, 1553-4. The edges of the reverse face of the coin have been folded backwards in three places, giving the coin a rectangular shape. The first fold is between 10/11 and 3 o'clock, the second between 3 and 6/7 o'clock, the third between 6/7 and 10/11 o'clock. The obverse is completely concealed by the folds and not visible at all. The original coin has an estimated original diameter of c.23mm.
