A miss-struck, heavily worn, abraded and clipped silver penny probably of Edward IV (1461-83) first reign (1461-1470). Likely York Local dies under Archbishop George Neville (1464-1476). Dating to the period 1464-1470. G by neck, left. This coin has been heavily worn and miss struck with the obverse showing evidence of at least three obverse strikes making exact identification difficult. The apparent G by the neck would however solidly place it amongst the local York issues of Edward IV.
