A base silver hammered coin dating from the Early Medieval period: a styca of Eanred of Northumbria (AD 810-840), Phase 1 (AD 810 - 835) struck at the mint of Northumbria by the moneyer Cunwulf (CYNVVLF). North (1994) Volume 1, number 186 on page 71. Obverse: EANRED REX retrograde and upside down around a central cross pattee, contained within beaded border. Reverse: CYNVVLF around central cross pattee, contained within beaded border. The coin is 13.3mm in diameter, 0.8mm thick, and 0.69g in weight.
