An extremely worn silver coin of uncertain ruler and date, from the early medieval to post medieval periods, c. AD 900-1800. The coin has been in association with salt water for some time, and its outer surface is now correded and irregular with accretions adhered to it. It is possibly a contemporary forgery, with a plated outer surface, as a crack at the edge of the flan appears to show an exterior layer that is distinct from the core of the coin.
