An early medieval silver penny of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066); facing bust/small cross type (North 830; bmc xiii) minted by Sideman/Sidumann at Wareham, c.1062-1065. It measures 17mm in diameter and weighs 0.9g. The obverse and reverse inscription is matched by an unillustrated coin listed in the British Museum catalogue, no. 1310 (Grueber and Keary 1887 (repr. 1970): 439).
