A damaged silver coin dating from the Early Medieval period; A silver sceat of Eadberht of Northumbria dating to the period AD 738 - AD 757. Series Y, class A. Quadruped right reverse type, lion raising forepaw. North vol 1, p. 70, no. 177. Abramson p. 44, no. Y050. The coin has broken into two unequal halves, which are differently patinated. Some of the lettering is obscured by corrosion. It is 12.5mm in diameter and 1.6mm thick. It weighs 0.8g. Compare YORYM-D31CB6.
