An Anglo-saxon base silver styca from the Kingdom of Northumbria, issued for the Archbishop of York Eanbald II by the moneyer Eadwulf, dating to 796-840. The coin is more black than green indicating that it is base silver rather than the copper alloy of many later stycas. There are no exact matches to this coin in Pirie's CKN, nor obverse or reverse alone.
