A base silver Northumbrian styca of Ethelred II, moneyer Monne. Earlier classification (Lyon 1956, Pagan 1973) would attribute this to Ethelred's 1st reign on the basis that Monne operated primarily in the 1st reign, but Pirie (CKN 1996) argues that it should be the 2nd reign on the basis of having central pellet motifs rather than the earlier cross motifs.
