A highly worn later Early-Medieval cut-quarter penny (Farthing), probably of Edward the confessor (1042-1066). Probably transitional pyramid type dating c.1065, minted at Sandwich by Godric or Leofwine. North (1994) no.835, BMC xiv, Hild.1a. Measurements: 9.88mm long, 10.3mm wide, 0.83mm thick and 0.37g in weight.
