Early Medieval Corpus 2022.0369 Full ID kindly supplied by Dr. Marcus Phillips who comments: This is s silver dirham of the Samanid ruler Ahmad II b. Isma'il  295-301/907-914; citing the caliph al-Muktafi billah 289-295/AD902-907. The Caliph's name is on the third line of the central reverse inscription; the Samanid's is on the fourth line. The mint is al Shash (modern Tashkent). The date is not fully legible but since these two rulers only overlap in 295H it can only be that year.  T…
