An early medieval silver penny of Æthelred II. The coin is a First Hand type with obverse showing diademed bust right and the legend +ÆÐELRED REX ANG. The reverse shows the hand of providence issuing from clouds with AW to the sides and the legend + ÐEODGILD MO LIND (Theodgeld moneyer Lincoln mint). North 766. The coin is complete but has a small area of the flan edge rolled over. The coin is recorded on the Early Medieval Corpus as EMC number : 2023.0293

Circular silver penny of Alfred the Great, King of Wessex AD 871 - 899 in good condition but with minor damage to edge caused by corrosion. Right facing bust in centre circle with lettering around "Aelbred Rex" On reverse three lines of lettering thus: MON DIAREL ETA In lunettes enclosed in a circle of two rings.

A hammered silver penny of King Coenwulf of Mercia dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 796-821) struck by Æthelmod at Canterbury. The obverse depicts a legend reading COENVVLF REX arranged circumferentially around a central circle and an M within it. The reverse depicts a voided Tribrach moline consisting of two lines that divides the name of the moneyer Æthelmod (EþELMOD).
