Unusual lead disc with the obverse of a coin on one surface. The surface depicts the bust of the emperor Septimus Severus looking right wearing a laureate crown. Surrounding this is the inscription SEVERVS AVG PART MAX. The reverse is complete filed flat and smooth. The perimeter of the object is irregular in places and even has what appears to be a striking crack above the head of the emperor.

A modern copy of a North-Eastern 'Ferriby' stater. This example is made out of lead. The obverse depicts a wreath made of two lines of diagonal lines. Next to this are two pellets. A deep groove runs across the coin adjacent to the lines. The reverse depicts a rather clumsy attempt at a horse left. This revese of this coin is almost identical to that on an apparently unfinished copy found several miles to the north-west in Stainton by Langworth: LIN-B89EFD. A square sheet of lead with decoration that resembles the 'wreath crossed by a line' seen on the obverse of late Iron Age gold 'Ferriby' staters. The sheet is roughly square and has two rows of oval pellets running across the centre, with what appear to be two lines crossing it with possible crescentric terminals. The other side has a kidney-shape motif formed by concentric lines, but this is probably the result of the way the lead has solidified rather than being decoration. This object is possibly a failed casting of a lead core for a plated stater.

A broken lead disc with decoration on both sides. The disc measures 18mm in diameter and is as thin as a silver hammered coin; much thinner than the range of post-medieval tokens. One side appears to have a star or cross in the centre, with lines extending from the angles to form triple stranded terminals. Between each line is a worn crescent motif. The other side is worn but also contains decoration. Its size, thinness and decoration somewhat recall the portrait type coins of Offa. A possible contemporary copy, in lead, of an Anglo-Saxon silver sceatta. It is circular and has incised motifs on both sides. One side is decorated with a crescent of diagonally hatched lines, similar to the 'porcupine' imagery seen on Series E sceattas. In this instance, however, the diagonal lines run in the opposite direction to those on Series E sceattas. The decoration on the other side is more difficult to determine, and appears to comprise a series of geometric lines.

A lead object bearing a design seen on late Iron Age North Eastern staters. The object is circular, dished, and bears the obverse and reverse motifs found on late Iron Age staters. These motifs are rather clumsily done, however. The obverse (convex side) depicts a wreath formed of ten diagonal lines, five on each side. A probable lead alloy forgery based on an inscribed silver unit of the Corieltauvi, possibly imitating ABC 1896 'Vepo ring silver half unit', though the poor definition of the horse in particular is more akin to the discombobulated state of the beast appearing on gold staters; the size, thickness and weight also have more in common with the gold Iron Age coins than the silver. The inscribed silver coinage would bear a date of Haselgrove period 3 phase 8, AD 10-40, but its forgery might rather relate to the period 1990-2010.
