Probably a Post Medieval Irish halfpenny of George II to George IV. It has been milled diagonally. Dates to between c1727 and c1830 AD. The diameter is about 4mm wider than usual for an Irish Half penny. Diameter 33mm, thickness 2mm, and weight 14.06g. The coin surface has been damaged and the inscriptions are illegible, but the crown over the harp and some of the scrolling is visible on the reverse. On the obverse there is the suggestion of a right facing bust. If this is the case, and not a trick of the eye, then the monarch would be George III (1760 to 1820 AD).
