This is a hammered silver Scottish twenty pence piece of Charles I (1625-49). The obverse has the crowned bust left with XX behind and the reverse shows a crown over thistle with a small âFâ over the crown. The âFâ above the crown on reverse legend is the initial of John Falconer, who subsequently became Master of the Scottish Mint.
The coin is in fair condition but struck slightly off centre with some limited clipping.
