Roman contemporary plated copy of a silver siliqua of Julian I (355-363), VOTIS V MVTLIS X reverse (legend in wreath), copying the Trier mint mark. About a quarter of the coin is missing to an irregular break along one side and some of the copper core has corrosed away. The silver outer layer is cracked in places and copper corrosion has leached though to the surface.
