An Iron Age gold quarter stater of the Catuvellauni, attributed to Tasciovanus, first coinage. Tasciovanos Tasci type, Dating to the period 25BC-10AD. BM (Hobbs 1996, 115), No. 1641, ABC (Rudd 2010) no. 2595 and VA (Van Ardsell 1989, 365) No 1962. Obverse: Crossed wreaths or cross of pellet-ring vars with 2 opposite crescents in the centre. Inscription: [TAS] CI in quarters. Reverse: Celticized horse right with TAS below. Inscription: [T]A(S) below horse. . Die axis: 9 o'clock.
