A worn and incomplete Roman copper-alloy nummus of the House of Constantine , possibly dating to the period AD 337-340 (Reece Period 17). CONSTANTINOPOLIS type, reverse depicting Victory left on a prow holding shield and sceptre. Mint of Trier, mintmark possibly TRP/S branch. RIC VIII, p. 144, cf. no. 92. Coins of this type are rare from the period AD 337-40, but this piece does appear to have a branch after the Trier mintmark. Measurements: 17.2mm in diameter and 1.43g in weight.
