Fortunae redux - Fortune that brings back the Emperor in safety.
The Romans were accustomed to render thanks, and perform sacrifices, to Fortuna Redux whilst celebrating the return of the reigning prince from his visit to distant provinces. This applied to Hadrian amongst others.

A Post Medieval copper alloy Irish 'Gun Money' halfcrown of James II (AD 1685-88) dating to AD1689. Reverse depicting crown over sceptres, dividing J R, XXX above and Mar (March) below. Spink (2002:169), no.6579.
These were official tokens issued in Ireland when James attempted to recover the English throne and and were ultimately intended to be exchanged for silver coins of equivalent value. They were made from old cannon, bells and scrap metal. James failed in his attempt, and the coins were never exchanged.
