A silver hammered coin attached to a piece of lead. The coin is cracked round the edges and half of one side is firmly attached to a sub-circular piece of lead. The coin seems to be attached by the lead corrosion that has developed. The coin is very worn and is totally illegible, but it appears to be medieval in date. The lead is bent so that it lies against the half of the coin to which it has fused, but then bends back away from the coin at a forty five degree angle. A copper alloy Roman nummus coin probably of Constans (AD 333 - 350), Fel Temp Reparatio 'hut' type showing a soldier pulling a barbarian from a hut (AD 348 - 350). The mintmark is illegible. The coin has a diameter of 20.9mm and is 2.1mm thick. It weighs 3.7g. The obverse is very corroded but the reverse is in better condition. Though the mint cannot be identified, the coin is similar to numbers 28-31 in Late Roman Bronze Coinage. This coin was bought, but is believed to come from Lincoln.

Mint mark is possibly TRP (Trier). Possibly RIC Vol. 8, Trier, number 192. The coin has a diameter of 15.7mm and is 1.5mm thick. It weighs 1.4g. This coin was bought but is believed to come from Lincoln.
