A fragment of a modern copper alloy cash coin of the Chinese Jiaqing period dating to AD 1796 - 1820.  Unknown mint.  About a third of the coin remains with the first character surviving.  Measurements: diameter 20.37mm, weight 0.97g. The coin was issued by Emperor Jiaqing who ruled between AD 1796-1820. The coin has the remains of the characteristic square hole in its centre which could be used to string the coins. The reverse of the coin is worn with no surviving characters. Mint unknown.
