A complete Medieval Irish silver coin; a penny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at Dublin, group IV, dating from 1297-1302. Spink: 6251 or 6253. Obverse: EDWR'/ANGL'D/NShYB, Crowned bust facing with a trifoliate crown and wedged drapery within a triangle (pellet below bust). Reverse: CIVI/TAS/DVBL/INIE, Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant. 1.3g weight, 18.5mm diameter, 0.7mm thickness.
