A copper alloy Roman coin; probably an As which is very worn. Asses were issued from 23BC - 260 AD. A bust facing right can be seen on the obverse, possibly of Domitian (81 - 96), and a seated figure on the reverse which is possibly Annona or one of two captives. The legends are illegible. The coin has a diameter of 27mm and is 2.7mm thick. It weighs 6.5g.

A worn copper-alloy As of Domitian (AD 81-96), dating to AD 84-96 (Reece Period 4), porobably FORTVNAE AVGVSTI S C reverse type with Fortuna standing left, holding rudder and cornucopiae. An unsuccessful attempt has been made to pierce this coin. It measures 26.8mm in diameter, 2.8mm thick and weighs 9.21g.
