A complete copper alloy Roman radiate coin, possibly a late style or contemporary copy of a radiate struck by Carausius (AD 286-93) at the 'Rouen' mint, c. AD 286-7 (Reece Period 14), [ ]S [ ], possibly Salus standing left holding baton and cornucopiae.  This is a very tentative identification, but the coin can be compared to a piece, found at Silchester, in the forthcoming RIC volume by Sam Moorhead - no. 345. Measurements: diameter 17.71mm, weight 2.09g.

Copper-alloy radiate of Carausius (AD 286-93), dating to c. AD 286-7 (Reece Period 14), TVTELA AVG, Tutela standing left, holding patera over altar and cornucopiae. Mint of 'Rouen' (Rotomagus). RIC V, pt 2, p. 521, no. 684. The mint for this coin has traditionally been given as Rouen, but it is quite likely that the mint moved with Carausius and might have even struck coins in Britain upon his arrival in the Province in AD 286/7.
