A post-Medieval silver Threehalfpence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603) dating to AD 1580-1. Second coinage, Mintmark long cross, North 2000 Obverse description: [bust left] in inner circle, very heavily worn with faint scratch marks, rose on right. . Obverse inscription: ELIZABET[H D G]ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA Reverse description: square shield on long cross fourchee dividing the legend. Reverse inscription: POSV[I/DEV] ADIVTORE/MEV   Possibly intentionally defaced by scratching or rubbing. The coin weighs 1.3g, measures 18.37mm in diameter and is 0.60mm thick.
