White metal possible coin. A flat flan bearing faint trace of a bust right, otherwise featureless. Possibly clipped with the removal of legends; edges appear neatly cut. The overall impression is that this may not actually be a coin. It is possible this object may relate to a rash of forgeries reported from various sites detected by this club over the years, though those forgeries are usually of different style and construction, and are thought to come from a 'mint' in the Grimsby area. Silver coin. Possibly a porcupine sceat of Series E, possibly a half unit (cf. E151). On the obverse detail of the 'quills', which entirely lack the pelleted ends where they spring from the curving 'body', is unusual. On the reverse, the standard motif lacks a range of additional features, and is again a shorthand version of the reverse of larger coins. White metal, possibly lead alloy or silver, possible coin. Oval flan with no discernible design on either side, though both surfaces have a pelleted appearance overall. Possibilities may range from a copy radiate or nummus of Roman date, through to a modern forgery of an Anglo-Saxon or Celtic coin. Suggested date: Unknown, 260-2000. Cliff Reeves kindly examined this coin, opining it is unlikely to be Roman. One edge is chipped, revealing grey metal. Probably heavily cleaned. Diameter: 11.7mm, Weight: 0.90gms.

White Metal possible coin. Material is either silver or lead. The only discernible feature is a set of four parallel lines of uneven length on one side of the coin. These might hint at a legionary denarius. Cliff Reeves kindly examined this heavily cleaned object, opining that it may either be an early [Republican] Denarius, or possibly a forgery. The latter class might include recently manufactured 'coins'. Suggested date: Either Early Roman, circa 50 BC to AD 200, or possibly Modern, 2000-2010. Diameter: 15.8mm, Weight: 1.87gms
