A post Medieval copper alloy farthing of Charles I (1625-1649), Richmond "round" type dating to 1625-1634. Crescent with mullet initial mark. The obverse has CARO overstuck on IACO as the type uses dies modified from earlier issues of James I. As North (1991) 2275.

A post medieval lead alloy coin forgery of a Charles I halfcrown, the original dating AD 1645-1646. The coin is silvered, which is now flaking off the surface, revealing a white metal beneath (probably a lead alloy). The coin has also been damaged on the edge, leaving a rectangular section removed. This is a copy of a North (1975, 135) type 2213 halfcrown. Dimensions: diameter: 32.63 mm; weight: 9.43g. Reference: North, J. J. 1975. English Hammered Coinage, Volume 2. A complete and modern cast lead alloy reproduction of a Charles I shilling, probably made in the 20th century AD (diameter: 32.5mm; thickness: 1mm; weight: 5.4g). The mintmark depicted is a cross, and is not recognisable among any of the mints known throughout Charles I's reign. neither is the bust type on the obverse. The casting line is also clearly evident around the outside edge.
