Copper-alloy coin fragment. A Spanish maravedis coin, as kindly identified by Paul Cannon who comments as follows: 'I think this is a countermarked Spanish maravedis coin, probably of the 17th century. There are other examples on the PAS site eg https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/645266.
