A worn copper disc, probably a coin, of unknown date. The obverse is worn smooth with no detail remaining, the reverse has a worn partial outline of Britannia. Britannia first appears on Roman British coins until the late 4th century, then reappears on the reverse of British coins from 1672; this latter explanation is a better fit considering other coins of similar date have been found in the same general location. E.g. LIN-135124. Diameter 22mm, thickness 1.3mm, weight 4.36g. The size is very close to that of farthings contemporary with the 17th to 19th century.

A probable post-medieval copper halfpenny of William III, George I, George II or George III.
Description: The coin has been rubbed or worn smooth on both sides and then one face has been used to engrave the letters A, B and C in parallel, horizontal lines. The coin has not been adapted in any other way.
Measurements: Diameter 27.79mm: Thickness 1.86mm: Weight 8.3g.
Discussion: The diameter and thickness of the object suggest it to be a halfpenny from one of the reigns of William III to George III, probably adapted to be used as an engraving practice-piece.
