Lunate horse left, "anchor face" above, star/sun below, pellet rosette below head reverse. ABC, p.92, no.1743. The patina of this coin is unusual and the metal content is uncertain.

Measurements are; length 19.7mm, width 17.3mm, thickness 3.0mm and weight 2.77g.

A complete Iron Age coin; a core of a gold plated contemporary copy of an uninscribed gold stater of the British North Eastern region (Corieltavi), North east or South Ferriby type, dating from about 60 BC - 20 BC.  The obverse is unclear with wreath, cloak and crescents.  The reverse is also corroded and has a disjointed horse facing left with many pellets above.  Traces of gold can be seen on both sides of the flan. Compare ABC 1716 - 1746. Thickness: 2.68mm Weight: 3.71g Diameter: 20.26mm

A complete copper-alloy contemporary copy of an Iron Age gold stater of British inscribed North Eastern (Corieltavi) Esuprasu type dating to the period 30-50 BC. Wreath crossed by bar with crescents at end obverse. Stylised horse with IISVP below. ABC, p.99, no.1917. ABC calls this ruler ESVPRASV, however IISVPRASV is how the name appears on the coins. They were struck between c.AD 30 and 50, in Lincolnshire and surrounding counties. Official coins of this type have the legend above the horse, though on this example, the text is below.
