The coin is a brockage, meaning the reverse depicts a negative impression of the obverse of the coin struck before, which has stuck to the die. In this case the reverse depicts a sunken radiate bust facing left. The coin is also pierced. The piercing is circular (diameter c.4mm) and situated behind the obverse crown.
