Complete worn Roman copper Sestertius of Trajan dating from AD 114-117. Obverse features Laureat right, draped with inscription [IMP.CAES] TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG.GER.DAC.P [.M.TR.P.COS.VI.P.P]. Reverse of coin is very worn with no inscription legible, but a draped standing figure is still visible. Possibly Providentia standing l., resting elbow on column and pointing to a globe at her feet. (Mattingly 1926 pg 291- No. 661) SPINK 3189). inscription[ PRO.AVG.SENATVSPOPVLVSQVEROMANVS S.C.]. Mint of Rome.
