A Roman silver Republican denarius of the moneyer Lucius Rutilius Flaccus dating to 77 BC. Obverse has a Helmeted head of Roma right, a pearl necklace around neck; behind, part of moneyer mark. Reverse has Winged Victory in biga galloping right, holding reins in left hand and wreath in right hand, with part of moneyer mark in exergue. As RRC 387/1.

This coin was found in the same vicinity as a number of provincial tetradachms as well as more recent ethnographic items; the possibility that it may be a recent collector's loss should not be discounted. That this is a rare type may also support this.
