Roman silver Galleria c 103-102 B.C. The coin is a Roman Republic denarius serratus minted in Rome.  Moneyer: L.Memmius. The obverse features the head of Saturn left with laureate;to right, harps. The reverse of the coin features an image of Venus with sceptre in biga (chariot with two horses running) right. Above the horses' heads Cupid flies left with a wreath, towards Venus. Inscription [L]  MEM [MI GAL]   There is no visible obverse legend. Reece period 1. Sydenham period V. c. 119-91B.C. ( Sydenham 1952, page 79).
