A copper-alloy Roman nummus of Constantine II (AD 317-340), probably a contemporary copy, dating to the period c.AD 321 (Reece period 16). BEATA TRANQVILLITAS reverse type (no break in legend), depicting a globe on an altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX, three stars above. Prototype of the mint of Lyon, cf. RIC VII, pp. 131-132. This coin has a differing obverse to those listed in RIC and with a letter missing in the obverse legend. It is plausibly a contemporary copy rather than an official issue.
