A Roman silver miliarensis of Constantius II (AD 337-61), dating to AD 350-61 (Reece Period 18), VIRTVS EXERCITVS reverse type depicting a soldier, helmeted, standing facing, head turned to right, holding inverted spear in right hand and resting left hand on shield. A fragment from a silver Roman miliarensis, probably of Valentinian I (AD 364-375) or Valentinian II (AD 375-392), dating to the period AD 367-392. VIRTVS EXERCITVS reverse type depicting the Emperor standing facing, head left, holding standard in right hand and resting left hand on shield? Uncertain mint, probably struck at one of the western mints, possibly Trier. The original diameter of this coin has been estimated as being c.23mm.
