A complete silver half groat of Henry VIII (1509-1547). First or second coinage dating from AD 1509 - 1544, uncertain initial mark. Canterbury mint under Archbishop William Warham. North (1975) number 1767 or 1802.
The coin is 18.2mm in diameter, 0.9mm thick and weighs 1.11g.

A silver Post Medieval coin; a halfgroat of Elizabeth I (AD 1558-1603) and dating from AD 1589-1592. Third coinage, Hand initial mark. See North (1975) Vol.2 page 113 number 2016. The coin has previously been folded across the flan between two o'clock and eight o'clock on the obverse side, but is now straightened leaving a crease across the flan.
The coin is 16.7mm in diameter, 0.9mm thick and weighs 0.92g.

Obverse: crowned CR, with illegible worn inscription around (this should read [CAR D G SCOT ANG FRA ET HIB R]). Reverse: thistle with large leaves, with inscription [NEMO ME INPVNE LACESSET] around.
