Early medieval silver dirham of the Abbas Caliph al-Mu'tamid dating from AD870-892 (Hijra 267). His full name appears clearly as ' al-Mu'tamid alallah' on the reverse. The coin was minted in Armenia (=Arminiya). Dr Vesta Curtis from the British Museum adds that on the obverse also appears the name of the brother of the Caliph al- Muwaffaq billah who was the brother of the Caliph Mu'tamid.
