The coin is heavily pitted and corroded but is probably another limesfalsum of this type - nine other specimens are known on the PAS Database.

RIC - The obverse legend dates to AD 246-8, but the reverse type does not appear until the reign of Trebonianus Gallus (AD 251-3) - see RIC IV, pt 3, p. 162, no. 30. The coin does appear plated so is quite likely to be a contemporary copy.
